PGCPS Inclement Weather School Closures
If it is necessary to delay the opening of school because of inclement weather, dangerous road conditions, or any other emergency which might arise, an announcement will be broadcast. It is occasionally necessary to close school early due to inclement weather, lack of heat,. The announcement will state, “prince george's county schools will be closed” or “prince george's county schools will be opening two hours late”. When school is cancelled for inclement weather so are evening activities at school for that day. Central and regional offices will open two hours late.
